Roma Siugzdaite, Ph.D.

Post-Doctoral

Roma Siugzdaite received her M.S. in Mathematics from Vilnius
Pedagogical University in 1996 (Vilnius, Lithuania) and her Ph.D. in
Computer Science from Kaunas Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas,
Lithuania) in 2006. Then she had a research fellow position in the
sector of Cognitive Neuroscience at SISSA (Trieste, Italy) working on
several projects: 1) emotions and imitation in autism, 2) gender
differences in patients with Aphasia and Apraxia. Her current research
focuses on the reorganization of the brain involved in language
processing after stroke. In order to evaluate brain changes as a
result of therapy she is going to use various modeling techniques (SEM
and others) in order to build a network and to assess how it changes
over time through recovery.
